Prepare, implement and monitor policies and programs for energy efficiency in the residential, industry, transport and agriculture sectors;
Prepare and monitor the National Energy Efficiency Action Plan;

Prepare and propose to the Minister the necessary by-laws for the promotion of energy efficiency in buildings
Advise local public administration authorities, administrators of public and residential buildings on the preparation and implementation of energy efficiency projects
Cogeneration of heat and power
Promote co-generation of heat and power
Energy label and ecodesign
Support the development of the implementing measures for Energy Labelling and Ecodesign
Prepare standards, norms and technical regulations
Cooperate with accreditation bodies for obtaining information on test and measurement results and for meeting national energy efficiency standards
Energy and Environment
Consulting
Advise end users on energy efficiency programs undertaken by them
Develop and coordinate training programs
Support and advise on conducting public awareness campaigns and other educational activities related to the promotion of energy efficiency
Financing energy efficiency
Bring together the relevant actors for financing energy efficiency projects
